MPLAY has some special features that only concern MP3-files...
View ID3 information
During playback of a mp3-file you may click on the Name-area (where the name of the current song playing is displayed) to view additional ID3-information. This information is also shown automatically when a new mp3-song starts playing (if the option 'Auto display ID3-tags' is checked in the Preferences).
Edit ID3 information
This ID3-information may be edited within MPLAY, using the built-in ID3-tag Editor (Cmd+I). You can not edit ID3-information during playback!
Set filetype
From within MPLAY you may also set the filetype of MP3-files, so you may start MPLAY by double-clicking these files in the Finder (they will also get a cool Finder-icon that resembles MPLAY's)
Track Mixer
One of MPLAYs coolest features is the Track Mixer (Cmd+T). With the mixer you can adjust a selection of audio parameters of each song individually. Also, you may set fade points to make mp3-files overlap for seemless playback without any silent pauses! Be your own D.J and create cool mixes! All parameters in the Track Mixer are saved for each song when you save your playlist.
The Track Mixer is described in more detail in section 7. The Track Mixer.
